A disturbing video currently circulating widely on social media has sparked serious public concern within the community. The footage appears to show a young boy who was allegedly involved in a collision with an adult man believed to have close ties to a Member of Parliament, reportedly identified by some online users as Yusif Jaja.

According to accounts accompanying the video, the incident allegedly escalated into a physical assault, leaving the young boy severely injured. It has been claimed that medical scans revealed internal bleeding, raising fears about the extent of harm suffered. These allegations, if confirmed, represent a serious threat to the safety and wellbeing of vulnerable members of the community.

There are also widespread claims that the suspect has previously engaged in acts of physical intimidation against residents and that individuals who speak out against certain political figures are allegedly targeted. While these claims remain unverified, the volume of concern expressed by citizens highlights the need for urgent and transparent investigation.

Ghana has long been recognized as a country that upholds the rule of law and responds decisively to criminal activity, particularly when incidents gain national attention through social media. The credibility of law enforcement institutions depends on demonstrating that no individual, regardless of political connections or social status, is above the law.

We respectfully call on the Ghana Police Service to:

Launch an immediate and thorough investigation into the incident.

Ensure the safety and protection of the alleged victim and witnesses.

Provide the public with transparent updates on the progress of the case.

Take appropriate legal action if wrongdoing is established.

Justice must not only be done but must also be seen to be done. Addressing this matter promptly will reinforce public trust, protect vulnerable citizens, and reaffirm Ghana’s commitment to fairness, accountability, and the rule of law.

The community awaits swift action in the interest of justice and public safety.
